Troparil or (–)-2β-Carbomethoxy-3β-phenyltropane, WIN 35,065-2, or β-CPT stimulating phenyltropane preprate, a synthetic analogue of cocaine having a net affinity exceeding that of DAT.For the first time, this drug WIN 35428 was synthesized in 1970 by Clark and researchers in order to separate the toxic properties and properties that cause dependence on cocaine. Tropail acts on the body as a phenyltropane-based dopamine reuptake inhibitor (DRI), derived from methylecgonidine and tropail is several times more effective than cocaine as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, but less effective as a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, and has a longer effect, since it has a phenyl ring connected to the tropane ring. Troparil is a cleaner stimulant and causes less dependence compared to cocaine. The legal status of the troparil is not clear, but it is banned in the UK.
