Description
4-Fluoromethylphenidate (4-FMPH, 4F-MPH) a stimulant drug that has structural similarities to and is analogous to methylphenidate. 4-FMPH acts as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor and is much more effective than methylphenidate.
4-Fluoromethylphenidate was reported to be very effective during its original study and use as an anticocaine drug, as the dopamine to norepinephrine selectivity ratio was initially misinterpreted, as well as its activity as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor.
4-FMPH proved to be ineffective against cocaine addiction, only replacing one drug with another and just as addictive. It also became an alternative to replace Ritalin, Adderall with this drug.
4-FMPH requires an even lower dosage than methylphenidate.
Very little is known about the pharmacological and toxicological properties of this drug, since it has not been studied and it is reserved for chemical research in specially equipped private laboratories.
4-FMPH is not legal in the US and is a Schedule 1 controlled substance, nor is it legal in Canada.
