4-HO-MPT (4-OH Methylpropyltryptamine, 4-OH MPT, Meprocin, 4-hydroxy-N-methyl-N-Propyltryptamine) is a synthetic pichodelic substance of the tryptamine class, causing psychedelic effects, a structural analog of Psilocin (4-HO-DMT) and is a synthetic indole molecule of the tryptamine class.
Structurally, 4-HO-MPT is replaced in R4 of its indole heterocycle by the hydroxyl functional group OH- and contains propyl and ethyl chains. 4-HO-MPT is the highest homologue of the naturally occurring substituted tryptamine psilocin.
It acts as a 5-HT2A receptor agonist.
The dosage of 4-HO-MPT is from 5-30 mg, but the higher dosages are high and can lead to unpredictable consequences.
This drug is banned for sale in the UK and Germany.
