Description
Etazen or Etazene (Etodesnitazene (Desnitroetonitazene, Etazone) is a designer opioid analgesic based on benzimidazole. Etazene was first synthesized in the 1950s along with etonitazene and its other derivatives. The opioid potency of Etazene is much lower than etonitazene (about 70 times lower) and about 10-20 times higher in potency than morphine. This drug has been little studied and little is known about its pharmacological and toxic properties, but this drug can cause opioid dependence, at high dosages it can cause vomiting, itching, respiratory depression, up to death.
Etazene is currently banned for sale in the UK.
